Labor Day is one of the most highly anticipated holidays every year. Aside from celebrating hard work and patriotism, it is also a good way to celebrate the last days of summer. Hence, a lot of people like to host pool parties, barbeque cookouts, or beach picnics in celebration of the holiday.

If you want to host a party of your own, don’t worry. You don’t need to spend so much time and money on preparations to make sure your guests have a good time. Here are a few easy and inexpensive Labor Day decoration tips:

  1. Use frozen water balloons to keep your drinks cool.

Instead of the usual ice cubes, you can make your drink tubs look cute by using frozen water balloons to keep your drinks cool. It would be best to use colors that match the theme of your party.

To do this, you simply need to fill a few balloons with water and leave them in the freezer overnight. Prepare enough balloons that would last the entire day. During the party, place the balloons in your drink coolers and tubs together with the drinks you’ll be serving. These would keep your drinks cool for hours and wouldn’t give you the mess of ice cubes falling around the coolers.

  1. Use stencils.

Stencils are fun and easy project that you can do together with your friends or family. It is also a good way to make sure that the items you will be displaying during the party would match your theme.

All you need are different colors of craft paint, brushes, stencils, and stencil tape. You can get a wide variety of stencil patterns from the internet, print and cut those that match your theme, and start painting on buckets, glasses, and cups that you would be using during the party. Make sure you allow the paint to dry completely before you start using the stenciled items!

  1. Display some printable designs.

There are a lot of printable designs you can find on the internet, and using them would be a great way to spice up any table top or any wall surface.

Surf the internet and look for great designs that match your theme. It would be best to find at least 3-5 designs to print out. Print them on glossy paper and place them in frames. If you don’t have any frames, you can also print them on thick paper and stick them on the walls instead.

Aside from decorations, there are other things you need to prepare for the party. That includes food, drinks, music, and invitations. But, preparing all these and making sure you throw the best party for your guests is part of the fun. Don’t think of it as a burden, otherwise you won’t be happy doing it. You’ll see all your efforts pay off when you see the smiles on the faces of your guests and look back on the new memories you have made during the party.
